Adult Ed meets in the fellowship room upstairs at 9 a.m. each Sunday, September through mid-May. All adults are welcome--in fact, encouraged--to attend.
ADULT ED: ART IN THE CHRISTIAN TRADITION. Art is not a uniquely Christian phenomenon, but it is integral to the Christian tradition. Christian art is decorative, but not merely decorative. It is theological, but perhaps not primarily theological. It simultaneously reveals and conceals; it appeals to the senses, the intellect, the emotions, the soul. It declares to us goodness, beauty, and truth. It makes us look beyond ourselves. But what is it? What is it for? How should we understand it, engage it, respond to it? What is its place in the church today? These are a few of the things we’ll talk about in Adult Ed this semester. Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Room downstairs. Led by Pastor Mike.
