Sunday Processional, March 25, 10 am. At the start of worship, our children will wave palm fronds as they process into the sanctuary.
All children are welcome to participate. They can join the gathering at the
back of the sanctuary, and they will be given a palm frond.
Good Friday Tenebrae Service, March 30, 7 pm. Join us for a special time of remembering Jesus’ sacrifice through an ancient service of worship called Tenebrae (“shadows”). Through music, Scripture, silence, and the symbolism of growing darkness, we will meditate on the meaning and significance of Jesus’ death... “by his wounds you have been healed” (1 Peter 2:24). An offering will be received for World Renew, the worldwide disaster relief and community development agency of our denomination. There will be no nursery. Everyone is invited to a simple supper at 6 pm, in the fellowship room downstairs. Parking is available in Lot 56 at the corner of Johnson and Charter.
Breakfast Potluck on Easter Sunday, April 1, 9 am. We’ll begin our celebration of Christ’s resurrection
with a breakfast potluck at The Crossing at 9 am. If you have a kitchen, please bring a hot dish, baked
goods, fruit or other item to share. Everyone is welcome!
Easter Morning Worship Service, April 1, 10 am. Join us to celebrate the good news of Christ's resurrection! Parents, if your children would like to be part of our Easter morning processional, have them gather at the back of the sanctuary shortly before the service.
"What happened on [Easter] day is, according to the
Christian tradition, only to be understood by analogy with what happened on the
day the cosmos came into being. It is a boundary event, at the point
where (cosmologists tell us) the laws of physics cease to apply. It is
the beginning of a new creation--as mysterious to human reason as the creation
itself. But, and this is the whole point, accepted in faith it becomes
the starting point for a wholly new way of understanding our human experience..." - Lesslie Newbigin, The Gospel in a Pluralist Society
