The Arts & Music

At Geneva, we worship a Creator who invites us to create. From descriptions of the beauty of the tabernacle in Exodus, to the injunction of the Psalmist to “sing to the Lord a new song," to the vision of the new Jerusalem in the Book of Revelation, the Bible is full of examples of the people of God offering fresh expressions of worship to their Creator by creating for his glory. Genevans share their artistic gifts in our weekly worship through visual and performing arts, and throughout the city of Madison as studio artists, composers, music teachers, filmmakers, and performing artists. We do this through:

  • MUSIC: professional and amateur musicians of all ages help to lead our weekly worship services.

  • VISUAL ART: artists from our community gather seasonally to discuss projects, and to facilitate congregational involvement in the arts.

  • COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Geneva sponsors and hosts a variety of amateur and professional performances and art projects, both in our building, and throughout the city.
